Morning showers and forecasts for more rain has forced Utica Rome Speedway

to cancel racing action for tonight, Sunday August 5.

“We normally don’t like to cancel so early in the day.” Stated Race Director John Tiff, “but between the storm that came through this morning and the forecast calling for nearly a 100 percent chance of severe thunderstorms this afternoon, we felt like we had little choice.

Racing resumes next Sunday, August 12 at Utica Rome Speedway with a full slate of Modifieds, Sportsman and Stocks.  Plus inductions into New York State Stock Car Association Hall of Fame.
