If you have kids, you know how tough it is to find a great babysitter. That might be why babysitters are earning quite a bit to watch your kids.

According to a recent study by UrbanSitter, babysitters - on average - are earning $16.75 an hour to watch one child, and $19.26 for two kids. For perspective, that would work out to $33,500 to $38,520 a year annually.

The most expensive place to get a sitter? San Francisco - where you can expect shell out $18.75 an hour to have some watch one child. A sitter in New York City will cost $17.30.

It's been a few years since we hired a sitter for our kids - but I thought paying $15 an hour to have someone watch 3 kids was a pretty sweet deal. Maybe I was wrong. We did provide pizza...does that count?

How much do you pay your babysitter? Does $16 seem really high, or just about right? And who wants to hire me to babysit - because that sounds like a pretty good deal!
