Western Alaskan communities like Nome are facing a winter storm that the National Weather Service warned would be as strong as a category 3 hurricane.  The storm, which brewed in the Bearing Sea brought winds of nearly 90 miles per hour and flooding storm surge.  The video below is the storm wreaking havok on Little Diomede Island and further below a news report from KTUU-TV in Anchorage.
