Every other Wednesday, we have the chance to help some kitties in the Mohawk Valley find their "fur-ever" home with the CPV Rescue and Sanctuary.

Today, Beth and I were so excited to meet these two little sisters who basically look like twins. Their names are Diamond and Pewter. They are ten weeks old and they are two out of a litter of three. Their sister has already been slated to go home with someone, so we're looking to find a place for these two!

According to Mare, Operations Manager with CPV, they are pretty calm for their age (but that doesn't mean they won't get more energy as they get older!) They can't come home with you quite yet if you're looking to take them. The girls have to be at least 12 weeks go home, but applications are being accepted for them now!

If you're interested in either of the two, you can give the rescue a call or message them on Facebook to set up an appointment!

Bringing home and raising a new kitten is an experience that's loaded with challenges and rewards. Whether you're considering getting a kitten or have already welcomed a fuzzy little bundle of joy into your life, you no doubt want to be the best pet parent. There's some ways that you can prepare your home to bring your new furry family member into the mix.

According to WebMD Pet, before you  bring home your kitten, make sure you have a litter box, cat carrier, kitten food, food and water bowls, a collar and tags, and toys to entertain your new pet. Cat-proof your house before kitty arrives. Put away cleaners, and pick up anything she could swallow.
