Just because the weather is getting cooler and the days are getting shorter, doesn't mean you can't squeeze in one more weekend getaway to the Adirondacks.

Adventurers behold! Clear your calendar for this weekend - A very special getaway in the Adirondacks is waiting for you. "Wilderness Field Notes" is happening this Friday through Sunday along the shore of Minerva Lake. The weekend includes tons of activities from learning to survive in the wilderness to kayaking and boating, to relaxing on the beach with bonfires at night.

You'll get a cabin to stay in for the weekend that has its own fireplace (so coldness will not be a factor), they'll have "Farm to Table meals," and workshops going on throughout the weekend. According to Pure Adirondacks,

Some guests include Steve and Wendy Hall from Adirondack Wildlife Refuge, who will be providing guests with a chance to meet a wolf up close & educating the group on this intelligent predator. Billur Kazaz, a NY based illustrator, will take you through painting from nature and creating your own organic watercolors, giving those who want to take part an opportunity to learn basic watercolor techniques...

...And that's just a few of the activities you can take part in. It's sure to be a wonderful weekend in the Adirondacks, and a great way to appreciate this time of the year. Oh, and don't forget about the fall foliage - The trees will look spectacular this weekend!
