Will Seth Meyers Replace Regis On ‘Live’?

Seth Meyers of SNL is reportedly the frontrunner to replace Regis Philbin on the hit morning TV show Live! Seth would be opposite Kelly Ripa. Reports say that Meyers, former football star Michael Strahan and singer Josh Groban are the producers' top picks, but Seth Meyers appears to be the favorite.

Yesterday Seth begin a full week guest hosting the show. Good timing because the summer ratings period is on. It appears that his performance and fan reception will be a "big test" for the position.

And if Seth Meyers were to get the job, sources say he would likely keep his position as the "Weekend Update" anchor on Saturday Night Live.

Now, some say that Kelly Ripa's first choice for the job was Anderson Cooper, but considering his heavy workload with two shows already with CNN, it's very unlikely he would or could take the position.
