Is there anything better than hanging out with real friends, sharing stories and laughing?  Well, if you enjoy hanging with your besties, you are actually increasing your mental well-being.

A Bunch of researchers from the University of Oxford revealed why,

 The necessary steps that a woman needs to take to achieve happiness in all aspects of her life. The study discovered the basis would be in women feeling free to go out with their girlfriends at least twice a week.

Pretty sure some of us already knew this, but just in case your girlfriends invite you out and you need a nudge heed this advice and go out!

Robin Dunbar a psychologist with the study added that,

 Women’s overall health and well-being is improved when they get together with four best friends twice a week in meetings where they “do things”.

Doing things can mean drinking wine, right?  :-)  Well, actually it does.

According to the study, the list of “things” included: drinking wine/beer, gossiping, and talking about their rivals (preferred topic). Doing these “things” make women socialize, drink and laugh together.

There are some real health benefits: "faster recovery time from illness, a stronger immune system, a decrease in anxiety levels, and increased generosity levels which makes women feel better overall."

Is it the same for men?

“For both sexes (no surprise) having a large, well-integrated social network has a significant impact on both physical and emotional health.
