Lady Gaga expressed that it pained her to be away from her NYC hometown during Hurricane Sandy. She wanted to be there, helping with her hands, while the superstorm ravaged the East Coast.

There have been a lot of awful or inspiring stories coming out of Hurricane Sandy. This manages to be both. A man found a note in his house scrawled by a person who had taken a blanket to keep hypothermia at bay. The author of the note was sure he was dying.
As the East Coast cleans up after Hurricane Sandy, another storm is on the way. According to the Weather Channel, a low pressure system is forecast to move up the East Coast and deliver significant impacts to the Northeast Wednesday and Thursday.

It appears that the monthly jobs report from the Labor Department that's due out today (November 2nd) will NOT be delayed because of Hurricane Sandy. The closely watched report on the unemployment rate and number of jobs created in the previous month will be the last piece of economic news to come before the Presidential election on Tuesday the 6th and will be out today.
