Women's Day will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at the 2012 Great New York State Fair. The morning will begin in the New Times Theater with coffee and networking followed by the presentation "Battling the Silent Killers of Women," by the Combat Divas, Freida Weeks and Leisha Tedford at 11:00 a.m. The annual Women's Day Luncheon will be held in the Empire Room at noon.

This morning we got a call from Dan O'Hara of the Great NY State Fair and he had some great news. He told us that more acts will be at the 2012 Great NY State Fair. Disney Channel actress and singer Bridgit Mendler, rock band Three Dog Night, “Jersey Boys" quartet Midtown Men, rock band Collective Soul and Food Network star Guy Fieri will be at the 2012 Fair.

British pop group The Wanted and comedian and actor Larry the Cable Guy are coming to Central NY. Tickets for both shows will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 14.

The New York State Fair has just announced that two more performers will be added to the lineup on Chevy Court, offering an array of shows that will appeal to a broad audience of Fairgoers. The Great New York State Fair has made unveiled two of the musical acts who will rock the stage at the State Fairgrounds in Syracuse this summer.  Sugarland and Sara Bareilles take the stage on September 3.
