Here's a shocking statistic. According to the Firemen's Association of the State of New York, there are more fires reported on July 4th than any other day of the year. Each year, thousands are injured using fireworks illegally. Be safe this holiday and leave the fireworks to the professionals.

The Utica Zoo is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and no matter what age you are, it's always fun to visit the zoo. On a recent visit, I spent some time (and tons of quarters) feeding the goats and watching the sea lions swim around.
