5 Places Where ‘Bring Your Dog to Work Day’ Might Not be a Good Idea
Today is 'Bring Your Dog to Work Day!' Sounds fun, right?! But there are a few businesses and places where bringing your dog in might not make such a great day.
Happy national 'bring your dog to work day!' I don't know how many people actually participated in this unofficial holiday, but it seems like it could be a fun idea for most... MOST I said. There are a few jobs where I could see that becoming a problem though - whether it' a health issue or safety issue, or just plain weird. Here are the jobs that 'Bring Your Dog to Work Day' may be a bad idea.
1 - Fast Food or Restaurant Worker: I don't care if you're just washing dishes, or if you're the hostess - dogs and food don't go together. And if you're the cook... well, come on - that's just ridiculous!
2 - Astronaut: If you're flying into space, it's probably not a good idea to take your dog with you. Not only for safety reasons, but I'm not sure if I dog would make the journey just getting launched into space (that's a lot of G's we're talking about).
3 - Surgeon: I understand the idea of bringing dogs into hospitals to cheer up sick people, but there's a difference in having a dog there helping people, and having a dog joining you in the operating room. I don't need a Labradoodle trying to play fetch with one of my kidneys.
4 - Nuclear Plant Worker: All I can think of is Homer Simpson. Although, a dog would probably do the job better, it's still not a good idea. Sorry Homer.
5 - Private Investigator: Well for one, if you're trying to be sneaky, having a dog around might make that difficult. Plus, if you're looking for clues and evidence... I guess I just hope the dog doesn't get to them first!
Happy 'Bring Your Dog to Work Day!'
