Your chance to go back in time by over 250 years happens this weekend at Rome's Fort Stanwix.  On Saturday and Sunday the National Monument hosts their French and Indian War weekend called "Crossroads of Culture."

On Saturday from 9 'til 6, and Sunday from 9 until 4, you and your family can learn the history of the colonial life and military operations at the fort.  There'll be military drills, weapons demonstrations and 18th century games.

On their website, Fort Stanwix promises a reenactment of the time when the British occupied the fort.  There'll also be a performance of social dances of the Oneida Indian culture on Sunday afternoon at 3.  All events at Fort Stanwix on Memorial Day weekend are free.
