Maybe I was a little confused, but I thought I was going to see a play. It wasn't, though. My first Ballet experience, and I couldn't have expected it any better especially with a story like Alice in Wonderland.

This past weekend Rome Capitol Theatre's Cinema Capitol showed "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland" a taping of the Ballet being performed at the Royal Opera House. I didn't know I was going to be watching a ballet, and if I knew ahead of time, I probably wouldn't have bought the tickets.

But I'm so glad I did. I'm so glad I got the chance to experience something like that. It was a beautiful story, and to turn it into a ballet... well bravo to them. The set design was spectacular, the costumes were amazing, and the music was beautiful.

The way they were able to change such a well-known story into a ballet is unbelievable. Even without anyone talking throughout the entire show, you can follow the story line perfectly. Between the music setting the mood, and the expressions of the dancers, it was just wonderful.

I never saw a ballet before, and I'm glad that was my first one. Don't knock it until you try it, seriously. There is another screening of the ballet this Wednesday at 6:30pm.

You can get contact information and see other shows coming up here.
