Later this week American will mourn once again as we commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Newtown school shootings which happened on Dec. 14, 2012. 'Mayors Against Illegal Guns' and 'Moms Demand Action' have produced an ad that asks us with to continue to speak out against gun violence.

A press release spells out the organization's mission. In part it reads:

Participate in our week of action, create a paper bell craft, and mark the day of the anniversary with dozens of “No More Silence” events all across the country. At each of these events, we will ring bells to remember victims of gun violence, and to demonstrate our commitment to be vocal and persistent in working toward common-sense gun reform.

The Huffintgton Post tells us that:

Since the Newtown massacre, support for federal gun legislation has stalled, but several states have passed stricter gun control laws.

Is that enough or is more needed to be done to prevent another national tragedy like what happened Newtown, Connecticut last year?
