I thought this was a really good question since this tick season is supposed to be really bad and mosquitoes are always pretty bad in this area. Well, the good news is according to a story from wnyt.com, no you can't get the coronavirus from a tick or mosquitoes. Or any other blood-sucking insect for that matter.

The coronavirus is a respiratory virus that isn't spread into the bloodstream and therefore can't really spread from one person or insect or animal through the blood.

So, although Lyme disease and West Nile Virus are still a concern when it comes to ticks and mosquitoes this spring getting the coronavirus isn't.

Now go put your mask on and wash your hands.
