A 20-year-old Clinton man, formally of Rome, was arrested over the weekend after an extensive investigation into an assault on an 8-month-old infant.


Jonathon Greener was charged with 5 counts of assault.  The police department in Rome began investigating in January

after they responded to a report of an injured child at Greener’s North Washington Street residence. The victim was later transported to a Syracuse hospital with serious injuries, including several broken bones in various stages of healing. Police are not disclosing the relationship between Greener and the victim. Greener, currently of Clinton, was arrested at his College Street residence by members of the Kirkland Police Department and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $50,000 bail pending further proceedings.
