When we were at the grocery store for our weekly shopping trip on Sunday, I noticed that fresh cranberries had arrived in the produce section.  I grabbed a bag with little idea of what I would do with them.

I jumped online after we got home and found a recipe that sounded good for cranberry apple cobbler from Allrecipies.com

I sliced the apples and boiled them with water sugar and the cranberries like you'd do if you were making an apple sauce.

Above is the result after baking.  The cranberries came out still just a bit tart for my taste, however the juice was plenty sweet, so no need to adjust the amount of sugar in the recipe.
