Let's talk about something that no one wants to talk about and no one definitely wants to admit... snooping.

We're not judging, and we're not here to call anyone out. Actually I'm guilty of snooping and admit it... But we'll get to that in a moment (it's kind of a funny story). Nope, we're just wondering.

We want to know how curious Central New Yorkers are when it comes to other people. Maybe you snooped through your significant other's phone while they were asleep or maybe your coworker left their desk and you were always wondering what's in that top drawer she opens all the time (and she does it like she's trying to hide something, so you're wondering if she really is). You can vote in the poll (below) and let us know what you're guilty of. Oh, and it's completely anonymous, so know one will know your secret (unless you were caught, then obviously someone already knows). We just want to know if we're ALL a bunch of snoopers or if it's less common than people actually think.

So I said I'm guilty of snooping...

It happened when my boyfriend and I first started dating (about two years ago). I don't know what made me do it, I didn't think anything was going on... I was just curious (I guess). Anyway, my boyfriend got up to use the bathroom and left his phone behind, and I grabbed it almost instantly. And I'm just scrolling and scrolling, I didn't realize how much time had gone by. I didn't notice him standing over me. All of a sudden I hear, "Are you going through my phone?"
I must have jumped a mile. How did he get done so fast?? And honestly, why am I going through his phone?
I set the phone down and just said yes. There was no point in trying to hide it or make up some lie. I was caught red-handed. To my surprise, he replied, "it's okay. I don't have anything to hide." And after he said that, I felt like dirt. Like, that was really dumb. He never gave me a reason not to trust him. I'm not sure exactly what I was looking for or why I was going through his phone in the first place, but I know I wouldn't have been happy if the situation was reversed.
Let's just say, I learned my lesson. Being caught snooping is pretty bad. Nothing makes you feel more like a little kid that's in trouble like snooping.

I've shared my story, now I want to know where other Central New Yorkers stand. Have you ever snooped? Even if you weren't looking for something particular, you were just curious... Have you ever gone through someone's stuff? Again, the poll is anonymous. Vote and let us know:

And if you ARE brave enough, and have a good story you want to share with us (whether you snooped, you've been caught snooping, OR you caught someone else going through your stuff), you can share it in the "comments section" at the bottom of this page.
