How Is it Possible That This Dog Is Available for Adoption?

We love all the dogs. But, every so often we meet one that is especially adorable.

Meet Earl, a nine year-old Black Lab, who arrived recently as a stray at the Humane Society of Rome. He's friendly with everyone. But, it's best to just let Earl tell his own story. Tamara Seelman, the new manager at the Humane Society of Rome, took this statement from Earl:

Hey friends! Let me introduce myself, my name is Earl and I am a 9-year-old Labrador Retriever. I am a really sweet guy, and I enjoy the company of everyone. Because I am older I am on a joint supplement to help my mobility but don't worry that doesn't bother me, I live my life to the absolute fullest! I love being with people and I love to be pet and hugged.

I still have the silly spunk in me and enjoy playtime with my stuffed squeaky toys. I would really love to go to a home that is laid-back and would allow me to snuggle up on the couch or a nice cozy dog bed to enjoy my golden years. I am good with dogs, cats and children as long as as they are respectful of my older age. I am also potty trained and I always try my very best to hold it until I can get outside, aren't I such a good boy?

I entered the shelter as a stray, so the staff doesn't really know a lot about me, except that I am a sweet senior with a lot of love to give. If you are interested in meeting me stop by the shelter during business hours!
