Medical facilities throughout New York are experiencing a critical shortage of face masks. If you can sew, you can help.

Of course, manufactured specialized masks are the best for preventing the spread of disease, but in the absence of those masks - handmade masks will work.

In NYC, designer Christian Siriano is having his team of seamstresses make masks - and you can do the same here in Central New York.

Here's a link to the pattern to make the masks: MASK PATTERN

(This is a pretty simple pattern, there are more complicated ones on YouTube, if you want to incorporate more details.)

If you're in Central New York, and you're in need of masks, or if you're making masks, email beth@lite987.com - we'll maintain a spreadsheet and connect donors with those in need.
