The New York State Department of Transportation has issued a travel advisory for motorists in Oneida County.
As construction continues on the North-South Arterial Project more lane closures are planned, which may cause some delays.
From Tuesday, July 11th, through Monday, July 17, 2017 motorists traveling on Route 5/8/12 southbound will encounter a left lane closure between the Court Street on ramp to Route 5/8/12 and Noyes Street. This closure will remain in effect 24/7.
The reason for this closure is so that additional drainage systems can be installed at the south end of the project. In addition there will be a daily left lane closure from 6:30AM – 3:00PM on Route 5/8/12 northbound between Noyes Street and the off ramp to Court Street.
As a reminder there will be significant delays during peak travel times.
