Lawmaker Wants To Get Rid Of Driver’s Licenses

Last night I wanted to explode on the roads. Usually it takes me ten minutes to get home from work, it took 45 last night! I was stuck behind two snow plows going the same speed in both lanes, drove me nuts! But at the same time I knew the roads were safe, except for the people riding my bumper! Makes me wonder how people pass their road test some times.

A state lawmaker in Georgia is sponsoring a bill that seeks to do away with, of all things, Georgia driver's licenses. State Representative Bobby Franklin has filed House Bill 7, calling it the "Right to Travel Act."

He thinks people have a common law and constitutional right to travel on roads and highways and he thinks requiring people to get licenses infringes on their freedoms.

I disagree. Not everyone is fit to drive. If you can’t test a simple road test, and be trusted on the road, you shouldn’t be allowed to drive!
