Oneida County's northern neighbor, Lewis County, is the least visited county in all of New York State.

A map showing the most and least visited counties was recently shared on reddit. The map comes from the website mob-rule.com where visitors track places they have visited with dark reds being most visited and light blue being the least. Not surprising New York City and the counties through which major highways pass are the most visited.

Without a major interstate highway (or US highway for that matter) or the draw of the Adirondack Mountains, Lewis County appears to be the least visited in the state.

See the full map from Mob-Rule.com that shows the entire country.

Lewis County, however, doesn't have the lowest population in the state. That honor belongs its neighbor to the east, Hamilton County. Schuyler and Yates Counties also have smaller populations that Lewis.
