Have you noticed the large flowers that have sprouted around the Soldiers and Sailors monument at Oneida Square in Utica? There were a part of the recent One World Flower Fest.

The festival, which was held for the first time during Mother's Day weekend 2015, hopes to change the impression of Oneida Square adding beauty and making the small park near the roundabout a social gathering space. Organizers, which includes the Rust to Green program, also hope to make Oneida Square a place were people linger and enjoy the neighborhood rather than quickly pass through while navigating the roundabout.
