Oriskany Firefighter Helps Others Even When She’s Off-Duty
Some people are just born givers. A member of the Oriskany Fire Department is definitely one of those people.
We love these stories: Everyday people who go above and beyond, and show kindness to others. It's not a hard thing to do, but it our fast-paced, hectic lives, it seems like it's something that kind of falls to the back-burner. But not for everyone. And definitely not for Maggie of the Oriskany Fire Department.
Maggie is always helping others out, whether she's on-the-job, or not. People have started to notice that she's willing to help out others before she even helps herself. But we think one of the biggest things that sticks out about Maggie, is the fact that she will "pay it forward," whenever she's in line for something. Doing that has grown in popularity, and it's an easy way to make the day of the person behind you. We're glad Maggie is continuing the trend, and not just doing it once or twice, but whenever she can. That's definitely an act of kindness we love to hear about.
It doesn't take a lot to show some kindness to others. And those small acts of kindness end up getting passed on, and makes the day a little brighter for a lot of people.
