Punctuation is the feature of this little ditty:

For all those times that you're working in school,

And you think that your writing's all cool,

You better be sure that you've followed all the rules,

And your sentences use the right tools.

 

A period to end a statement or command,

A question mark is just like raising your hand,

A comma separates our words and lists things out,

And exclamation points are for when we shout!

And the chorus:

So if you like to write and make some sense,

Then you had better check your sentences,

And if there is no end mark at the end

Then you had better punctuate it quick!
