Sauquoit Homework: Sing Along to Justin Bieber

So after working all day at Lite 98.7, I have to come home and sing with my kids along to a karaoke version of Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself". But at least it's educational, right?

Yes, Sauquoit Valley's 2nd Grade homework consisted of a "bonus question" - to sing these truly educational lyrics along to that infectious Bieber tune.

Punctuation is the feature of this little ditty:

For all those times that you're working in school,

And you think that your writing's all cool,

You better be sure that you've followed all the rules,

And your sentences use the right tools.

 

A period to end a statement or command,

A question mark is just like raising your hand,

A comma separates our words and lists things out,

And exclamation points are for when we shout!

And the chorus:

So if you like to write and make some sense,

Then you had better check your sentences,

And if there is no end mark at the end

Then you had better punctuate it quick!
