The Westmoreland Schoolhouse Celebrates Flag Day

Flag Day is Wednesday, June 14, 2017. And the Westmoreland Historical Society has an old-fashioned way for you to celebrate the grand old flag this weekend.

Everyone is invited to this fun, FREE, family-friendly patriotic event - Sunday, June 11 from 1-3pm. The Westmoreland Historical Society is hosting "The Schoolhouse Celebrates Flag Day". The starts with presentations in the historic one-room schoolhouse, old-fashioned games and activities, entertainment by Jerry Dee & The Dovetones, and an ice cream social sponsored by Stewart's Shops.

The Westmoreland Historical Society  is very active in the community, hosting fun events all year long, like the "Haunted Schoolhouse" event in October. The Flag Day celebration is another great chance to check out the Schoolhouse, teach your kids the history of the flag and have some fun with your neighbors. The event is made possible every year to some of the great Westmoreland businesses, like North Star Orchards, Westmoreland Antique Center, Snyder's Flooring, Whitestown Automotive, Tents 4 You, Grandes Pizzeria and Personal Graphics Corp.
