The signs were there late last week for the formation of the Atlantic's first tropical system of the 2013 Hurricane Season. Wendesday night, Tropical Storm Andrea formed.

Andrea is forecast to make a first landfall east of Apalachicola, Florida somewhere south of Tallahassee. The storm will track across the northern Florida peninsula and turn northward near Jacksonville

Andrea is then forecast to track up the eastern seaboard near the Georgia coast, and landfalling again in the Carolinas.

Finally the storm may affect the Northeast over the weekend. The main threat for Central New York appears to be more than two inches of rain.
