Upstate New York Hotel Creates Bar With 20,000 Pounds of Ice
A hotel in Clayton, New York has trucked in 20,000 pounds of ice used to create a fun-filled frozen weekend of entertainment.
Last year, the Thousand Islands Harbor Hotel attracted over 1000 visitors to its "Fire & Ice" Extravaganza. The event is returning this year and it's guaranteed to be more "chill" than ever.
The "Fire & Ice " Extravaganza will feature: a fully operational bar made of ice (with martinis chilled in ice luges,) ice sculptures, ice benches, an elaborate patio made of ice, an ice wall, and ice carving demonstrations.
According to New York Upstate.com the event will also have:
Fire pits and heating lamps will help guests stay warm outside; inside the ballroom, wine and beer tastings and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Fireworks will end the evening on Friday and Saturday.
The ice blocks are being shipped in from Auburn and will weigh 150-200 pounds each. Next, the blocks will be carved and stenciled into beautiful works of art.
This Year's Fire & Ice extravaganza is February 18-20 at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel located on the shore of the St. Lawrence River in Clayton, New York. Tickets are $20.00 and can be purchased HERE.
