Madison VanDenburg, the 17-year-old 'Idol' contestant from Upstate New York has advanced yet again - this time into the top 5.

This week, the show had two themes for the contestants to select songs around: Woodstock and Showstoppers. Madison knocked it out of the park on both fronts, singing 'Piece of My Heart' by Janis Joplin for her Woodstock-themed selection and 'I Surrender' by Celine Dion as her Showstopper number.

The judges gushed over Madison's performance, with Lionel Richie describing her as voice "beyond her years" and Luke Bryan saying she's one of the "best singers on earth."

Wow.

In Madison's hometown of Cohoes, an army of her fans watched her performance at a big viewing party, and celebrated as she advanced into the next round - one of only two remaining women on the show.

Could she be the next 'American Idol'? The odds look pretty good.
