Did you witness this? That's the sign I read everyday on my way to and from work. I'm no Sherlock Holmes, but I'll guess someone attending an event at Utica VFW 229 on Herkimer Road was going too fast when turning into the driveway and caused this damage. That's where I'd start the investigation. (suddenly the theme to the TV show Dragnet plays in my head).

I'd check to see if any patrons of events around the time of the incident have some car damage.
