Wednesday’s Powerball Jackpot Hits Record Amount

Have you bought a ticket yet for tomorrow's Powerball drawing?  I'll be grabbing one or two on my way home.  The current amount is over $425 million, which is the most in the game's history.  What could you buy with that kind of money? 

Alot!  The cash value is about $278.3 million, which gives you plenty of spending options.  For instance, you could buy any NASCAR team.  You could purchase all but the top three NHL teams.  Or if you're an NBA fan, quite a few of those teams would be within your budget as well.  However, football fans, you're going to need more money.  You wouldn't have enough money to buy any NFL team.  How did Powerball get so high?  Nobody won Saturday's jackpot, which was $325 million.  By the way, the biggest  Powerball payout to date was in 2006.  You might remember the winners. They were eight co-workers at a Nebraska meat packing plant who split $365 million.  Tomorrow's Powerball still has plenty of time to get bigger, and you can expect it will.  The game is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia and also in the U.S. Virgin Islands.  As for the odds of winning, it's about 1 in 175 million!  One more thing, if you do win and you have no idea how to spend it, I'd be glad to help you.
