The West Rome Drive-In will open for the season this Friday, April 15.  Opening weekend at Central New York's last Drive-In features one of the movies I've been hoping to see, Rio.

From their website, a bit of history on the theater:

The West Rome Drive-in was opened as a single screen drive-in back in June of 1951.  It was open for the Golden Age of drive-ins when the number of drive-in screens in the United States hit a peak of 4,063 in 1958.  Today, there are 635 screens at 401 sites across the country still operating.

Do you have memories of visiting the West Rome Drive-In as a kid?
