Who doesn't like listening to live music while having an adult beverage or two?! You can do just that at Woods Fest, coming up in August.

So you're probably wondering what's "Woods Fest," and what's the big deal behind it. Well, this isn't just a local band or two playing while you have a beer or two... It's more. It's bigger. And it's more fun! "Woods Fest" is going to bring MANY local acts together, a variety of craft beer and wines, a bunch of different food trucks on-site, and even yoga!

Seriously, this is going to be one fun event, and a great way to spend a Saturday in Central New York. And it's "Woods Fest" because it's being held at Woods Valley Ski Area. You know, that great place to go in the wintertime for snowboarding, skiing, and tubing. Yep, Woods Valley isn't just for cold weather, they know how to handle summer, too.

Alright, so we think you could use a little more info on the event, right?! Like, you're probably wondering who's going to be performing. According to the Woods Fest Event Post on Facebook,

The initial lineup announced for this event includes: Follow the Muse, Nick and Jay from Floodwood, Work Related, Mike Powell and John Hanus from the Black RIver, Remsen Social Club, the Live and Breathe, the Old Main and Los Blancos.

That's quite the lineup so far. For music, we mean. There's quite a lineup for drinks, too. According to the Event Post on Facebook, members of the "Heart of New York Beverage Trail" will be pouring a variety of craft beer and different wines. The event is being put on with the help of Copper City Brewing Company and Oneida County Tourism, after all.

Even though there will be alcoholic drinks available, this is still a family-friendly event, so you don't have to worry about trying to find a babysitter - You can bring the young ones along (well... if you want to). Tickets are available now and cost $20 per person (and children get in free).

Woods Fest is Saturday, August 12th at Woods Valley Ski Area at 9100 State Route 46 in Westernville. The event goes from 11am to around midnight. You can get more details, your tickets, and the latest updates by following the Event Page on Facebook at: Inaugural Woods Fest Musical Festival.
