This is not a drill.

If you have not yet seen the Barbie Movie-- and you want to, but you aren't yet ready to invest $30 to stream it or buy it on Prime Video (maybe because you're supporting the ongoing actors strike or don't really want to put another dime in Jeff Bezos pocket), then you're in luck! Barbie the Movie is available to rent for less than $3!

But only if you still own a DVD player.

According to People, "Barbie — (the blockbuster film starring: Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, John Cena and Dua Lipa which has thus far raked in more than $1.4 billion at the worldwide box office, further cementing its status as the biggest film of 2023 so far —." So, of course you want to see it. And if you missed it in theatres, it has been streaming on Prime since mid-September. But, now you have other options.

Cord Cutters reports,

Skip the lines at the theater, and bring Barbie to you, by streaming the film on your favorite device. You can find the film on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV, or any other compatible device via Prime VideoRedbox, or any other service that carries the film. Barbie is available for rent on Prime Video and Redbox for $24.99 in UHD, HD, or SD and available for purchase for $29.99 in UHD, HD, and SD.

But the most affordable option of the above is your local Red Box kiosk. How much, you ask? $2.25. I know, it feels like olden days Blockbuster. The catch, of course is that the rental is DVD only. Bleh. If you have one, great--let me know when I can borrow it.
