2016 New York State Fall Foliage Report
Autumn is a beautiful time of year in the Empire State. If you're planning on taking a road trip to check out the scenery, this guide will be of assistance.
The leaves are already changing color in the Adirondacks, Catskills, Chautaugua-Allegheny, and the Thousand Island Seaway regions. Fortunately for us, we've still got some time before they reach their peak.
Old Forge is currently at a 10% color change with some red, and orange already emerging in parts of Herkimer County. The Tupper Lake area is projected to be at 15% by this weekend.
The Catskills are already seeing some yellow, and gold on the trees, and they are expected to be at around 10% by September 25th. Chautauqua-Allegheny, and the Thousand Island regions are also expected to be at a 10% color change by this weekend.
