6-Year-Old Gianna Gets Wish Granted with Make-A-Wish Central New York
It was a very special morning for Gianna from Frankfort.
Gianna has a nervous system disorder, which means she has some physical delays and utilizes a wheelchair for mobility. But this doesn't stop her from being a giant ball of sunshine! She has a very big personality and loves being the center of attention.
Last week, she was invited by Beth and Dave to be a guest co-host on their show as a representative for Make-A-Wish Central New York. Little did she know, she was going to be in for more than just a co-hosting gig.
Gianna is a huge hockey fan, and like the rest of her family, is a huge fan of the New York Rangers. Of all the things that Gianna could wish for, she wished to meet "the greatest goalie in the universe," Henrik Lundqvist.
Today, we were able to be part of her wish being granted. Take a listen below, and watch the Facebook live of her reaction.
Gianna was able to speak with Adam Graves, a former player of the Rangers. He gave her the news that she was getting a trip to New York to meet the Rangers, including Lundqvist, and see her first game! Rob Esche, President of the Utica Comets, was also in to give her a custom Comets jersey!
It was an exciting moment we (and everyone involved) will never be able to forget. We look forward to speaking with Gianna after her trip to get all the details.
