Kaylin Joins Dave to Co-Host Lite 98.7 Morning Show

It's something I'm still not used to saying yet: I'm officially part of the Lite 98.7 morning show.

In case you haven't heard, I'm teaming up with Dave Wheeler from 6 to 10 am weekday mornings. Dave Coombs left to take on another radio opportunity too good to pass up, and Beth left to work as Director of Communications for a local car dealership. We have some pretty big shoes to fill, but I'm very excited.

I started on Lite 98.7 back when I was in high school. I approached Townsquare Media about shadowing to learn more about the company and the radio industry as a whole. That was over ten years ago. I was live on Lite on the weekends, live on Lite filling in for full-time talent when they went on vacation. It's an opportunity that to this day I reflect on, because if it wasn't for that, I'm not sure I would be where I am today.

For a small period of time over the past year I was questioning my choices. I'm someone who very much likes a plan, and knowing what is coming next for myself. This promotion for me was, in a way, the solidification that I needed that I'm meant to be doing what I'm doing. Radio has my heart and having the chance to wake up with you every morning means so much to me.

I'm so excited to be working alongside Dave after knowing him for over ten years to build a show we, together, are proud of. I’m so excited to be behind a brand that is so iconic to Central NY. More importantly, I’m excited to learn and grow myself this year.

Although waking up early will be challenging, I'm stoked, and I hope you'll stick with us! I've never done radio with someone else before. I gotta get used to that, but I know in my heart it's going to be great.
