Dick Clark’s Sci-Fi Paranormal Connection – Beyond Belief
Dick Clark will, of course, be most remembered for music on television but he did make a significant contribution to bringing paranormal programming into the mainstream. It was his production company that that brought us one of Sci-Fi/Paranormal's best loved TV shows.
Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction hosted by James Brolin then Johnathan Franks ran for 5 year on Fox then in syndication on Sci-Fi Network and now on Chiller. The series was of the many contemporary shows produced by dick clark productions (and yes, the company went the e.e. comings/k.d. lang route and is spelled all in lowercase).
The 45 episode series has covered topics that span the paranormal spectrum from the arcane to the unexplained and has become a cult (or is that camp?) favorite. Beyond Belief further helped to bring the supernatural to the mainstream.
