Feeling down? Maybe not feeling quite like yourself? We've got five things that could be causing the problem, and how to fix it.

1 - When's the Last Time You Had a Glass of Water?

Not soda, milk, or any other kind of beverage - but water. If you're dehydrated (even just a little bit), it can make you feel sluggish, moody, and just a little 'off.' Down a glass, wait a few minutes and see if you feel better.

2 - Have You Gotten Anything Done?

Sometimes we're trying to balance a million different tasks, that most of them get left half-done. When there's so much to get done, it can get overwhelming, and you may feel like there isn't an end (which will kill your spirits and your motivation). Instead of focusing on all the things you still need to do, projects that have only been started, and all that, get something small done. Been trying to schedule a dentist appointment, but keep putting it off because it's at the bottom of your list? Tackle that task. Getting something small done will help you feel more accomplished, and will help you start feeling better.

3 - When's the Last Time You Moved Around?

Sure, getting in a workout is always good - It's a great way to relieve stress, get that heart pumping, and it makes you feel great, but a lot of times you don't have time to get in that 30 minutes. Exercise produces endorphins in the brain that give you that extra boost, and you need that especially if you're feeling a little down. Even if you can't get a full workout in, get moving. Do simple things during your day to get extra steps in, like parking further away at work or the grocery store. Maybe take a walk after dinner. The more you do, the better you'll feel.

4 - Have You Spent Time Listening to Music?

We're not talking about listening to the radio in the background while you work. We're talking about really jamming out - Turn it up loud, sing, move around. It's hard to do that when you're not feeling up to it, but force yourself to do it. Get lost in the lyrics of a song. Once you start (which will be the hardest part), you'll notice a difference.

5 - When Was the Last Time You Did Something Different?

Maybe you're feeling down because you're stuck in a rut. Sometimes a little change goes a long way. If you're tired of the same old, same old, change it. You can make it something small like wearing an outfit to work you normally don't wear. If you always where plain one-colored shirts, switch it up by wearing a patterned shirt. Take a different way home from picking up the kids from school, and enjoy the new scenery. Go to a different coffee shop in the morning instead of your usual one. Getting out of your comfort zone, even just a little, will work wonders.
