Kaylin’s Take: The Best Animated Movie to Watch on Christmas
Everyone has their own favorite Christmas movie. There's so many different choices out there. Classics. New age movies. And many times, there's a tradition within families to watch these movies every year.
When I was a kid, I was introduced to a movie that many may not have heard of, and it's been a tradition for my mom and I to watch it every single Christmas.
Released in 1997, Annabelle's Wish became a favorite for many families. It's an animated movie revolving the story of a baby calf on a farm who aspires to learn to fly and become one of the reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh, and her friendship with her mute owner, Billy.
I don't want to say much other than that, as I don't want to give the entire movie away. There's something about this movie that just makes the heart feel good, and it's for all ages so it's an appropriate movie for anyone. It also never fails to make me cry.
The movie actually means a lot to me. I got the videotape as a kid and portions of the sales were donated to the Make-A-Wish foundation. For children diagnosed with critical illnesses, a wish come true can be a crucial turning point in their lives. A wish can be that spark that helps these children believe that anything is possible and gives them the strength to fight harder against their illnesses.
If you're looking for a new Christmas movie to watch, 10/10 recommend. You can rent it for 99 cents or purchase for $2.99 on Amazon Prime!
