Rob Reiner memorialized his 'All In The Family' co-star Jean Stapelton and Jane Lynch remembered her 'Glee' co-star Cory Monteith, during last night's (Sept. 22) Emmys telecast. Lynch told the world that Monteith was such a kind soul and so full of charm that it was incredibly easy to fall in love with him. Rob praised Jean's work ethic and also remember Carol O'Connor (Archie) as well.
According to Starcrush:

The decision to include Monteith as part of the night's remembrance portion, which paid homage to those who are no longer with us, drew some criticism, Lynch's short but sweet speech revealed why Monteith was so beloved by fans of the show and beyond. Ultimately, her words proved why the late actor was deserving of the tribute and why the show's producers made the right choice.

"From the first time you saw Cory, he had a star quality and a genuine sweetness that made it impossible to not fall in love with him," Jane Lynch said.

Rob Reiner had touching words about Jean's ability to bring Edith's character to the starring role of the show and he reminisced on the 1980's show "Archie's Place' when Archie and America first said good-by to Edith Bunker.

Jane Lynch also noted that Monteith was worthy of the love he received, despite being flawed and battling addiction. She pointed out that his generosity was both striking and unbridled.
