Semi Trailer Falls From I-81 Bridge near Cortland
A trailer became detached from its semi today and plunged into the Tioughnioga River after falling off the Interstate 81 bridge near Cortland.
The New York State Police shared these photos of the trailer which landed straight up-and-down in the river. NYSP say the driver was not hurt in the incident.
The trailer ended up vertical because:
during the accident the trailer became detached and fell into the Tioughnioga River below.
