A Mohawk woman was arrested on charges of being in possession of a controlled substance following a prison contraband investigation at the Oneida County Correctional Facility.
Seventeen dogs—five adults and twelve puppies—were rescued from squalid conditions near Mohawk, New York, where a haunting sign on a tree read “Casa Doom.” Found with porcupine quills embedded in their faces and living in unsafe, filthy surroundings, the dogs are now safe but in urgent need of medical care.
The event is free to anyone able to attend from the safety of their cars, and will feature materials and information from local health care agencies, plus some great freebies.
