It's another segment of "The Zoo's News." This time we talk to Mike Beck, Director of Communications, about an event coming up at the Utica Zoo.

On Saturday, September 9th, the New York Power Authority will be hosting a Wildlife Festival at the Utica Zoo. It goes from 10am to 4pm and it's free. That's right, free admission for the whole family. There will also be free parking and free shuttles to the zoo.

This Wildlife Festival has tons of fun activities for the kids including face-painting, and they can watch Magician Jim Okey perform some great tricks. You can also watch a champion chainsaw carver Mark Tyoe, create a beautiful masterpiece. There will be lots of local vendors with goodies available. Oh, and that includes vendors with delicious food and beverages.

It's a rain or shine event so dress for the weather. And make sure to look for the Lite 98.7 table. We'll be broadcasting live from the event and have our table set up so you can spin-the-wheel for a chance at some great prizes.

We want to thank Mike Beck again, for joining us on another segment of "The Zoo's News." If you have any questions about the Utica Zoo, upcoming events, or the animals at the zoo, you can submit them at the link below. They may even be used in an upcoming episode of "The Zoo's News."
