Customers who enjoy Tim Horton's coffee in Oneida and across Syracuse were not in for a treat this morning. All locations have closed very abruptly.

According to the Oneida Dispatch, locksmiths showed up to the restaurant in Oneida this morning to change the locks, and lock customers out. The following message was posted on the front door:

“Unfortunately the restaurant is permanently closed. We thank you for your loyalty over the last two-and-a-half years. Sincerely, Gary and Sharon.”"

According to CNY Central, the C.E.O. of the Tim Hortons coffee chain came to Syracuse Tuesday to announce to owners and operators of Central New York stores they would be mandated to close permanently. The sudden closures will leave hundreds of people out of work.

As of this posting on 11/18/15, no word on why the chains have closed for good.
