Top Central New York Spots Where You’ll Wait in a Long Line
A friend of ours recently had a great experience at the DMV. We know: the words "great experience" do not normally go together with the letters D-M-V. But in this case, our friend got to cut the huge line through a series of lucky events.
The Department of Motor Vehicles in Utica can be a pretty enjoyable experience anyway, just because of its location inside the gorgeous confines of Union Station. However, there IS a good chance you'll run into a pesky, long line there. And it got us thinking about the Central New York spots most likely to produce long lines, some of them worth waiting for and some just a nuisance.
ON THE GOOD SIDE...
- The Ice Cream Factory (We took the picture above on CNY's first 80-degree day, and, as you can see, the lines stretched right out to Oneida Street in Chadwicks.)
- Utica Comets season tickets or playoff tickets
- Voss Bar B-Q
- The rides at Enchanted Forest Water Safari
AND...NOT SO GOOD...
- The DMV
- Stuck on the Arterial
- The post office at Christmas
Hey, you could look at it this way: If you have a long line at your establishment or location, it's a testament to its necessity and/or desirability. If you have nominations for other CNY spots with long lines, feel free to pass 'em along.
