Utica Area Breakfast – Hidden Gems
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So where can you find the best breakfast in the area, that's off the beaten path?
We've seen top 10 lists over the years, and we've seen new restaurants open that we should add to the list. Here are some places that lots of people were talking about this year:
The Local Farm To Table - Lansing Street in Utica. Open for breakfast and lunch and featuring locally sourced ingredients. Lots of folks have been raving about their breakfasts.
Craylee's - they've been open about a year on Bleecker Street and lots of people mention this as their new go-to breakfast spot. They regularly get glowing reviews on the Utica Area Restaurant Review FB page.
Sherry's Diner - this hidden gem opened up across from the Masonic Care Community on Bleecker Street. This is another one that comes up frequently on UARR, where everyone sames to rave about the Giambrotte.
Bite Bakery & Cafe - they landed on New York Upstate's list of Best Breakfast Spots in the state and for good reason. There's lots to love about this downtown Utica eatery - from breakfast burritos and blueberry pancakes to omelettes and made to order waffles, and a stellar Sunday Brunch.
Willie's Bagel Cafe - it's not really "off the beaten path" but it's hidden in plain sight just off the Utica Thruway exit. Their bagels are always fresh and their breakfast sandwiches are made just the way you like them. Don't miss out on their multi-color bagels.
Eddie's Paramount Diner - this Rome staple was also on New York Upstate's Best Breakfast Spot list. It features good old fashioned diner foods at reasonable prices. Large portions too. This is real comfort food whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner.
