Every other Wednesday, we have the chance to help some kitties in the Mohawk Valley find their "fur-ever" home with the CPV Rescue and Sanctuary.

Today, Beth and I were so excited to meet these two girls who (we believe) has opposite personalities! Meet Sassy and Petunia. Sassy is very calm, while Petunia is actually the "sassy" one. They are about thirteen weeks old and are a mix of a little bit of calico and a little bit of tiger. Sassy is medium haired and Petunia is short haired.

If you're interested in either of the two, you can give the rescue a call or message them on Facebook to set up an appointment! The adoption fee is $120 and that all shots covers spay or neuter when they are six months old.

Bringing home and raising a new kitten is an experience that's loaded with challenges and rewards. Whether you're considering getting a kitten or have already welcomed a fuzzy little bundle of joy into your life, you no doubt want to be the best pet parent. There's some ways that you can prepare your home to bring your new furry family member into the mix.

According to WebMD Pet, before you  bring home your kitten, make sure you have a litter box, cat carrier, kitten food, food and water bowls, a collar and tags, and toys to entertain your new pet. Cat-proof your house before kitty arrives. Put away cleaners, and pick up anything she could swallow.
