My husband is a cheeseburger fanatic.  He'd eat them every night if he could.  But cheeseburgers are so unhealthy.  Instead it's turkey burgers on the 'Light Lunch' menu today.

I've made turkey burgers several different ways but I've settled on the ranch turkey burgers as my go to recipe.

Mix your ground turkey with a tablespoon of onion powder, garlic powder and red pepper flakes.  I use to add a 1/4 cup of ranch dressing until I realized 2 tablespoons was 140 calories!  Instead I add a half packet of ranch dressing mix for only 40 calories.  Add 1 small chopped onion and jalapeno and cheddar cheese to the mixture.  Mix it together and leave in the fridge 30 minutes to set.  Pound out burgers and broil at 8 minutes per side.   My daughter prefers her turkey burgers without cheese, but I melt cheese slices on the rest.  Top with your favorite condiments and enjoy at fewer calories than a regular cheeseburger.

My husband would probably disagree, but I'd prefer a turkey burger over a real cheeseburger any day.  They are not only better for you but more moist then any cheeseburger I've eaten.
